The misty hills in Diyatalawa were reverberating to the roar of engines when the Fox Hill Super Cross last April held at the home of the Sri Lanka Military Academy.
More than 200 drivers and riders will vie for honours which included few of Hellibees riders and drivers. In addition to the Sri Lanka’s motor racers, few international riders and drivers also could be seen in contest. This was indeed a good exposure for our members.

Experienced J M D Indika, continued his consistency returning a crucial 1 under par 70, in the final Round of CAT Solar Pin Fernando Grand Prix to extend his winning margin to 2 strokes from M U Chanaka Perera who carded an Even Par 71 to clinch the Runner up spot from D M P P Bandara from the Navy 3 strokes adrift in 3 rd place.

The Annual feature Match-Play event on Handicap inaugurated in the Centenary year, 1979, at the Royal Colombo Golf Club, in honour of the legendary Match-play “King” the Late Pin Fernando, concluded the Qualifying Round for both the Pin Fernando Trophy & the Pam Fernando Trophy event for Ladies over the week-end.

In an initiative to help SMEs remain competitive and meet an increased demand for energy efficient machinery, United Tractor & Equipment (Pvt) Limited (UTE) and Hatton National Bank (HNB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently to provide SME Entrepreneurs an easy payment scheme to finance the FS Curtis Air Compressor range.

For nearly 40 years, United Tractor & Equipment Ltd., UTE for short, was run under the rule of one man, Priath Fernando.

Defending Champions UTE won the Caterpillar Challenge Trophy Cricket tournament held in Chennai, India.
This tournament features the three Caterpillar dealers from Bangalore District(UTE, GMMCO and TIPL)along with a team from Caterpillar Inc. Aimed at fostering good relationships, this tournament has become a stage for showcasing sporting talents of the employees of these organizations.
