I started my Engineering career almost 2 decades ago and joined UTE as Manager of the Power Systems Division in the year 2008 after serving almost 6 years for Sri Lanka’s leading engineering company DIMO and 4 years overseas for a large Caterpillar dealership. Later promoted to General Manager- Power Systems and Engineering Solutions and at present working as General Manager – Technical for the company. My main task is to provide innovative and economical technical solutions as per customer specifications to the Sri Lankan industries.

UTE has played a pivotal role not only in shaping my professional journey but also in influencing various aspects of my life.

Since my initiation in 2014, UTE has consistently added significant value to my career progression. Initially, it equipped me with the skills to become a Six Sigma Black Belt within the manufacturing facilities of Caterpillar India. Subsequently, my capabilities were further honed as I advanced to the position of a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, a milestone marked by exposure to Caterpillar HQ operations in the United States in 2016.

The invaluable insights gained from these experiences have been instrumental in shaping both my professional endeavors and my personal growth, positioning me where I stand today.

Beyond the skill development, UTE has fostered a culture that prioritizes safety and well-being, creating a compelling reason for many, including myself, to remain devoted to UTE for decades.
